China Inland Mission

China Inland Mission is the biggest foreign mission in China.

Strictly speaking, it is not a sect. It is a trans-sect missionary group that influenced Chinese Christianism much. China Inland Mission was founded in 1865 by Dai Desheng. In 1872, its head office was set up in Shanghai. The mission developed in China step by step. Preachers of China Inland Mission come from many countries. Their way of preaching is called Dai Desheng mode, which attaches importance to imparting Gospels assisted by education and medical matters instead of founding schools and hospitals.
