Jia Yuming

Jia Yuming (1880-1964) was an evangelist of Chinese Christianism, a theology educationist and famous priest.

He was born in Shandong Province in 1880. After he graduated from a school founded by the American North Presbytery, he began to do missionary work, and worked as a professor in many church universities. In 1936, he founded a Christian college in Nanjing. In 1954, he was elected as vice chairman of the Committee of Three-self Patriotic Movement of the Protestant Church. In 1964, he died in Shanghai.

He claimed that Bible was the code of conduct and one should pray more. He specialized in theology education and cultivated many priests. He left many works, including Theology Study, Bible Pith and Psalmbook Generality.
