Liang Fa

Liang Fa was one of China's earliest Protestantism and the first Chinese priest.

He embraced religion in 1816, and in 1824 he became the first Chinese priest. His most famous work was the Maxim, which was finished in 1832. His missionary work influenced Chinese mainland much, especially Guangdong Province. His wife and son were both church persons and they founded a church in their family. This church was China's first church founded by Chinese.

Some Chinese priests commented on him: "He is like Jesus." By 1832, a small-scale church group had been formed in Guangzhou.
